Last night’s show was Ah-mazing. Matt Berninger was thisclose to me during Terrible Love. While everyone else around me snapped photos, all I could manage was to stand awkwardly and motion to the people around me like “what am I supposed to do with this?” Always keeping things real.
They sang Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks last, and they did so completely unplugged. Incredible. I wanted to purchase a poster, but the merch line was out of control + there was a slight concern that I had lost my debit card (not to mention I had a two hour drive home ahead of me). So instead, I’ll just post this one from the Toronto show to my tumblr. Totally the same thing.
I’m super glad that I went. Going to shows solo sort of sucks in theory, but it is nice not to have to worry about someone else’s concert-going experience. I certainly will not hesitate to head back to HOB for another show. Easy venue to navigate and a nice size. Even if it is in Downtown Disney…
